Besides the fantastic landscape and the hospitable people, the bureaucracy is so uncomplicated that a wedding in Seychelles requires comparatively little preparation. Formalities for your wedding ceremony
- Your marriage must be requested at the Victoria office on the island of Mahé at least 11 days before the date of the ceremony.
- If you are in a hurry, you can apply for a special permit and get married within two days. In that case you must be on the islands for at least that long.
- If you want to marry in your hotel, the civil office and the hotel administration are responsible. Outside the hotel you can marry at other approved and private places – a wedding on the beach is often possible.
- For a wedding in Seychelles you need two witnesses. We can arrange them for you.
- You can get married on any day of the week. Weddings at the weekend or after 5 pm are slightly more expensive.

Getting married abroad in Seychelles is easy
Thanks to the uncomplicated regulations, marriages in Seychelles are particularly easy for foreigners and for binational couples. If you present the apostille from the Supreme Court of Seychelles together with your marriage certificate, your marriage is recognised as legally binding almost anywhere in the world.

Planning your timeline
